Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister for Media Affairs and Auqaf Ms Sharmila Faruqi has said that government has compensated the families of those lady polio workers who have been martyred two days back by terrorists in Karachi and that the government will also take care of injured workers.

This she said while talking to media on Thursday while visiting a private hospital where injured Muhammad Israr admitted and she also visited Orangi Town the home of Naseem Akhter who was martyred in the attack. She said that she had come on the special directives of MNA Faryal Talpur and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari to console the victim families and she assured them the full support of Sindh Government.

Sharmila said that such heinous attacks were committed by those anti-state elements who wanted to drag Pakistan into Stone Age and they were the enemies of healthy Pakistan. She added that the present democratic government is committed to make Pakistan a polio free country and will take all efforts to protect polio workers. No one will be allowed to send a bad name of Pakistan at international level, she added. The Special Assistant to Chief Minister said that CM Sindh had announced to provide to jobs to victim families and Rs 0.5 million would also be given to each victim family.
